Recycling & Shredding in Lewiston — Answered
Can anyone bring documents in to be shredded, or is it businesses only?
Anyone can. Walk-in shredding is available at our Lewiston facility during business hours — you don't need an account or an appointment. Businesses can also set up mobile on-site shredding at their own location or scheduled office pickup.
How much does document shredding cost?
Walk-in shredding is priced by the 64-gallon bin: $28 for a full bin, $17 for a half bin, with a $10 minimum charge. Mobile on-site shredding and scheduled pickup are quoted per business — call (208) 746-1187.
Is your document destruction certified?
Yes. Western Recyclers is NAID certified for document destruction, whether your material is shredded on-site at your location or at our facility. That means your confidential records are destroyed to a verified industry standard rather than simply thrown away.

Where can I drop off cardboard for free in Lewiston?
On the Beachey Street side of our building at 35 2nd St. Our facility takes up the whole block — 2nd, 3rd, Beachey, and Capital — and the free community drop-off is on the Beachey Street side. It is cardboard only, so please flatten your boxes and remove packing material such as foam, plastic, and packing peanuts before dropping off.
Do you pay for aluminum cans?
No. We accept aluminum cans for recycling at our facility, but we do not buy them. Dropping them with us still keeps them out of the landfill.
What size containers do you offer?
Cardboard bins run from 2 to 6 yards with scheduled weekly collection. Roll-off containers — sometimes called roll-off dumpsters — run from 20 to 40 yards for construction debris, trash, or high-volume cardboard, delivered to your site and hauled on your schedule.
Do you serve Clarkston and the rest of the LC Valley?
Yes. We serve businesses throughout the Lewiston–Clarkston Valley from our Lewiston facility — Clarkston, Washington included — with hundreds of bins, balers, and trucks in service across the valley.
What are your hours?
Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We're closed Saturday and Sunday. Our facility is at 35 2nd St, Lewiston, ID 83501.
